We planted one and a half hectares of pine monoculture near Reckahn with all kinds of tree species and put various seedlings in the ground. Among them red beech, Norway maple, field maple, red oak, English oak, sessile oak, chestnut, sweet chestnut, birch, and willow. It is a small experiment to see which of the species will become established in this habitat. The site belongs to a friend who is also interested in supporting the development of diverse, resilient mixed forest.
